London: Portobello Road and Notting Hill

I mentioned Bryan worked Monday through Thursday while we were in London this summer. Well, for those four days I explored solo, which was actually quite exhilarating. Of course I preferred adventuring with Bryan; but there's something special about discovering a new place all on your own. Anyway, on one of my solo days I ventured to Portobello Road which runs the length of the Notting Hill district.

Now, how to describe this quaint and colorful section of London? I haven't a clue. I honestly don't know where or how to even begin. It is simply magical and charming and... perhaps I'll just let my pictures do the telling.

Look at all the colors! It's so happy.

Yes, I was here. Well, there... selfie attempt.

And there were so many fun shops with all sorts of nifty trinkets, apparel, flowers, and more.

And me on Portobello... Don't you just love the awkward selfie attempts?! BUT I was there! Haha.

How bout a smile?

This is THE "bookstore" from the movie Notting Hill starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.

Close up.

And I was there! See me - right outside the store?! The one attempting (but failing) to take a selfie on my phone.

No store sign? Fail.

There we go: Notting Hill.
