A Little Bit of Liz

In case you didn't know, I have the world’s most amazing older sister, Liz! Now, Elizabeth had a nasty bout of viral encephalitis in her youth that left her with permanent brain damage and the mental capacity (and heart) of a child, daily seizures, and a myriad of other complications. She really is courageous, what with all she has been through. Anyway, I just adore her: her love of movies, watching/quoting Daniel Boon and Little House on the Prairie, blasting Michael Jackson, her love of food and her contagiously loud laughter, singing and dancing in the kitchen, her love of piñatas, how she is always—always—genuinely trying to help others, her love of babies… the list goes on and on and on and on and…on.

Anyway, another amazing sister, Rebekah, has been documenting all the endearing things that make Elizabeth so wonderful and I thought I would share them.

Isn't she adorable?! I’ll be honest, her complications can be unbelievably difficult for all of us at times; but they are nothing—absolutely nothing—compared to the blessing she has been in our—my life. I love her and look up to her more than words could ever adequately convey. Love her!
